The Hotwire In Screed Heating kits are the most versatile on the market. As the wire element can be coiled into narrow spaces (which is not possible with wire-on-mat systems) you get no cold spots on your floor.
Benefits of Heating

Better bathrooms - as heat lamps are not required exhaust fans can be placed over showers
Programmable - automatic heat for when you need it and temperature controls
Easy installation - most versatile installation method available. You can DIY the heating element

Maintenance free - Once installed it is maintenance free.
Heating can augment your existing heating or be a total solution
Many homeowners believe that -floor heating is not necessary when they are installing other home heating solutions. This is simply not the case - whilst - heating can be used to heat a room, it can also be used to simply heat the floor. Have you ever been in a traditionally heated tiled room? The room feels warm at head height, but the floor is cold and it is not comfortable walking in bare feet. Under floor heating can be your entire heating solution, or it can simply augment your other heating systems.
Did you know that ducted heating can cause a temperature difference of up to 12 degrees between the floor and ceiling? Heating heats uniformly from the floor to ceiling and will also save you hundreds of dollars in the long run compared to bathroom heat lamps. As a total bathroom heating solution its running costs compare very favourably to other heating solutions such as heat lamps - see below.
HOTWIRE In Screed Heating is the most flexible system available
Unlike many other under floor heating products that are expensive to buy, install, run and maintain, the HOTWIRE In Screed Heating DIY kit enables you to do most of the work yourself and will only need the service of an electrician to connect the controller to the power once the hotwire has been laid. The flexibility of using a coiled wire verse a conventional heated mat makes installation so much easier, especially when laying in small tricky spaces around toilets and doorways. The heated HOTWIRE coil can simply be laid down on your homes substrate and taped in a coiled design before laying tiles on top. Therefore, your room will be warmed evenly leaving no cold spots to freeze your toes.
What's in the In Screed heating kit?
The kit includes everything you need for installation:
The roll of heating element wire to layout on your prepared floor
A roll of heavy duty tape to adhere the heating element to the floor
A thermostat sensor to connect to the controller
A touch screen controller (must be connected by an electrician to mains)
A continuity alarm - will alert you to any break in the circuit or damaged cable

Easy to Install
The primary benefit of our HOTWIRE Under-Tile Heating DIY Kits is the ability for it to be installed almost entirely yourself. Due to Australian standards, a licensed electrician must connect the thermostat to the power source, however, this is the last step and the rest of the installation can be done yourself. With our in-depth and easy-to-follow installation instructions, save yourself hundreds of dollars by installing the product yourself!
The installation process involves priming your floor surface and simply coiling your HOTWIRE around your entire floor surface at even intervals before taping down in place. All tape, wires, and necessary installation equipment are included.

How to measure your floor?
The length of your HOTWIRE In Screed Heating coil is based on the square meterage of space that you would like to cover. Generally, this doesn't include the area under fixed units such as vanities, cupboards, baths etc.
Once the square meterage of the room or space you want to heat has been determined, select the corresponding range in the product options section and your price will be calculated.
For example, say your bathroom is 4 square meters but with a permanently fixed vanity and shower, only 3 square meters of tiling will be pulled up. You will select the 2.00 - 3.10 range from the product options drop-down box. The calculated price includes all of the installation hardware within the kit as well as the touch screen thermostat.
Hotwire provides a generous 10 Year manufacturer’s warranty on the heating cable and a 2-year warranty on the thermostat/timer.

Unless otherwise stated, orders are typically despatched within one business day. If an order is made after hours or on non-business days it is deemed to be made on the next business day - so, for example, an order made on the weekend will be queued for despatch on the Monday, and is typically despatched that day or the following business day. If you order before 10am on a business day we make best efforts to despatch it the same day.
Delivery timeframes are dependent on your location, which distribution centre we are sending from, the size and number of parcels, and the schedules of the carrier. Australia Post and Toll Ipec are our preferred carriers, although sometimes other carriers are utilised. In most cases the average delivery times we observe are:
|VIC Metro||1 to 3 business days|
|VIC Regional||2 to 4 business days|
|NSW Metro||2 to 4 business days|
|NSW Regional||4 to 6 business days|
|QLD Metro||3 to 5 business days|
|QLD Regional||4 to 9 business days|
|TAS, SA, WA and NT||3 to 9 business days|
These are average delivery times and we often observe shorter and longer timeframes. Renovator Store cannot control delivery timeframes and processes, and your first point of communication on a delivery is the carrier.
To see more detailed estimated delivery timeframes visit our Estimated Shipping Times page.
Your order might arrive in separate deliveries
An order might come in multiple parcels. Sometimes we might send your order in more than one package or from different distribution centres, and they may arrive at different times.
How can I track my order delivery?
In most cases you will be sent instructions by email on how to track your delivery once your order has been completed. In some cases tracking information is not available. If you are concerned about the progress of your delivery the fastest way to get information is to contact the carrier and quote the tracking number. We can only see the same tracking information available to you.
What if I am not at home to accept delivery?
Australia Post and Toll typically require a signature upon delivery and our nominated couriers typically deliver only during business hours. So it is best to provide a shipping address that will be attended during business hours. If someone is not available to accept the goods the standard practice is to leave a card informing you how to collect at your local Post Office or for re-delivery.
You can put a short note on your order on the order checkout screen to provide delivery instructions, however Renovator Store cannot guarantee the carrier will observe these requests.
We can deliver to an Australia Post Parcel Locker
For a single item purchase you can easily arrange for delivery to an Australia Post parcel locker. There are 200 locations across Australia (also at 7-Eleven Stores and BP Service Stations) that are accessible 24/7 and free to arrange. They will email and SMS you when its ready to collect! DIY installation Comprehensive installation instructions and videos are provided so you can confindently install yourself if that is your preference. It is easier than you think - the heating element can be laid yourself, but an electrician is required to fit the controller to the mains. Of course you can get a professional to install the whole lot - here is a list of recommended installers Australia-wide.
Continuity Alarm A "continuity alarm" is provided free of charge in the kit so the integrity of your heating element is known throughout installation and until your bathroom fit-off is complete. When you receive the product it is a good idea to check the heating element (on a roll) with the supplied continuity alarm device. by connecting this to each end of the wire on the roll (they are conveniently exposed for checking you can verify before installation the element is intact and has not been damaged. This device should be used throughout installation and during the rest of the building phases in your bathroom so that it will alarm if there is any damage done to the heating element before the bathroom is completed.
