Is there anything more frustrating than losing your keys? When it comes to keys, we (as a society) tend to lose them. “I know they are here somewhere?!”, “ We are already late, why can’t I find my keys?", "I can’t believe I had the keys with me all along"
"Where are the keys ? "
If you have uttered those words once in your lifetime, then you know the panic mode that sets in and your day has thus started off on the wrong foot
Had they fallen on the garage floor? Did the dog run off with them? Are the kids playing a trick on me? They were hopelessly lost, but I was relieved I had a spare set. Always keep a spare set of keys in case of an emergency.
Keys are an absolute necessity in our society. Car keys. House keys. Office building keys. Loyalty card key rings.
Find a spot to keep your keys and make it a habit
In this day and age with losing keys is not entirely the nicest thing on a busy school day. Rather than ending with a migrane by retracing steps in your brain a million times just to remember where you last had them, make it a habit to strut towards your key storage facility every time your hand touches any key. It'll save you the time spent hunting
When storing, separate your keys:
• Necessary and daily keys
• Mail box (if you have a PO Box)
• Office keys
• Occasional keys
• Storage unit
• Spare house keys
• Keys to your in-laws, parents, friends, neighbors, etc
Label the occasional keys so you know what belongs where. Use a simple sticker that you can write on to label like the ones that come packed with the key storage system you have(if you have them which i highly recommend)
Leave the occasional keys in your car glove compartment or at home. There is no need to cart these around everyday .. All day.
Store your loyalty cards on a separate key ring. Keep those in a side compartment in your purse. Another idea? Get rid of them all together. Stores can look up your account by phone number most of the time.
Store your keys in a key storage facility and you can hang these by the door. Not in your purse or by the kitchen or in the bedroom. Store them by the door that you use to go in and out of your home 99% of the time.
Make your daily life a little easier by finding what you need right when you need it!
